The Knot: Ohio

I’ve spent the last two hours quarantined in our bedroom while Jason took over the living room to watch the Notre Dame vs. Alabama game. I’m not really a fan of college football, plus I feel like complete crap still, so lying in bed with a magazine we received at the bridal show yesterday sounded like an ideal way to spend my evening.

Tonight’s magazine of choice? The Knot: Ohio. This focuses in weddings & vendors in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, & Akron-Canton. I’ll be honest, it seems like the largest focus was on Columbus & Cincinnati, with Toledo in particular lacking in coverage (this stood out to me since I lived in Toledo through my elementary & beginning middle school years). Luckily for me, I have lived in Cincinnati for 13 years now & we’re having our wedding in a Cincinnati suburb, so this magazine was chock full of information pertinent to our wedding.

Some of the topics addressed in this magazine include tips on picking the dress, when to get started with planning (ASAP according to The Knot! Tell that to their check list which makes it seem like you shouldn’t do anything prior to the one year mark!), issues that every bride stumbles into, wedding myths, & first dance suggestions among many other topics. I read the whole thing cover-to-cover & I’m pretty sure I’ll be reading the whole thing at least once more. At $4.99, I would definitely suggest picking a copy up — the Ohio specific version if you’re from Ohio, but I feel confident that every state specific edition has to have equally helpful information in it.

Tomorrow I’ll let everyone know how contacting two of our (hopefully) vendors-to-be has gone since the bridal show yesterday. Despite feeling completely miserable today, I have managed to be semi-productive thanks to email & the Internet!
